Wave–Particle Duality

A synthesizer album inspired by my travels. I picked up synths during COVID-19 lockdown, and it culminated in this record - the sounds and sights of everywhere I went in 2023, with over 80,000 km of air travel behind it.

I got into synthesizers during the COVID-19 lockdown - a slow, hands-on way to fill the quiet hours. What began as curiosity turned into a craft, and eventually into a project: an album.

Wave–Particle Duality is inspired by the sounds and sights of each place I visited in 2023. Over 80,000 km of air travel went into it - field impressions and memories from the road, reshaped into music after I got home. Every track is a different stop on that itinerary.

The whole record was produced on a Synthstrom Deluge - a portable, standalone groovebox that let me sketch ideas wherever I happened to be, no laptop required.
